Architecture

Ben Pentreath has loved old buildings and interiors since he was a boy, and started drawing classical houses from an early age.  Ben read History of Art and Architecture at the University of Edinburgh, and then trained in an apprenticeship for four years with Charles Morris in Norfolk, and for five years with Anne Fairfax and Richard Sammons in New York. He studied at the Prince of Wales’s Institute of Architecture in 1996.

Returning to England in 2003 Ben worked for one year with the Prince’s Foundation before setting up his own practice. The firm concentrates particularly on new housing and is working on several projects for the Duchy of Cornwall and other landowners. Alongside these development projects, Ben designs a number of individual private houses and buildings. Recently completed is a £25m hotel in the New Forest. We are currently working on a substantial new house in Oxfordshire, and have prepared designs for houses in London, Wiltshire, Dorset and Ireland.
