Interior Decoration is a growing part of our practice. In 2012, Ben wrote the acclaimed English Decoration, and his own houses in London and Dorset have been widely photographed. Ben’s influential interiors and decorative accessories shop may be found at Pentreath & Hall.
Our particular interest is in making richly-layered rooms that use colour and pattern, and a mix of old and new furniture, to create timeless and comfortable places to live. We like to work with the character of a room and client, and have no set formulae.
The studio is headed by Lucy Wilks, previously with Colefax & Fowler and Philippa Thorp. Lucy is assisted by Luke Edward Hall. Ben is involved in every detail of our projects.
We are working on projects across the UK: townhouses in London, manor houses in the West Country and East Anglia, and the major redecoration of a Regency castle in Scotland. In some cases these are houses that we are designing in the architectural practice, and in others we are enjoying collaboration with other firms.
