About Us

Our shop is rapidly becoming known as a destination for interesting good things for the home. Based in a tiny Victorian shopfront on Rugby Street, in the heart of London's Bloomsbury, we stock a carefully chosen range of new products and and an ever-changing variety of antiques, second-hand books and unusual presents.

Ben Pentreath set the shop up in Autumn 2008 as part of his growing architectural and design company based next door on Lambs Conduit Street. We love running the shop and one of the real pleasures has been meeting so many interesting people - who live locally or from much further afield. Everyone is welcome to pop in and say hello.

Bridie Hall runs our shop.  Bridie is a talented decorative artist and maker, with a background in antiques and a strong eye for rare and beautiful things. At her studio in Canonbury, Bridie creates occasional fancies and whims which are for sale in the shop.

We would love to see you in Rugby Street, but if you are not able to visit immediately please have a browse around our online shop and we will be happy to send out a handsomely wrapped parcel.
